There's two vastly different types of hijabs: the democratic hijab, The pinnacle covering that a lady chooses to put on, and the tyrannical hijab, the one which a lady is forced to don.
In the primary form, a girl has company. She sets the terms of her hijab, appearing as ascetic or as interesting as she needs. She can also wear make-up and trendy clothing if she likes.
In the second style of hijab, the hijab lady has no agency. Wherever we lived, the conditions were set by Iranian govt authorities less than a compulsory dress code that banned women from carrying make-up in community and forced them to have on a baggy, knee-size garment to fully disguise the shape in their bodies, about a pair of trousers and closed-toed footwear. For quite a while, the authorities even decreed the colors that Women of all ages could don: gray, black, brown or navy.
